Exhibition on the theme "Traces of Indian History"
was organized on 25th November 2019, in the library from 10am to 4pm.
An inaugural ceremony was started at 10am by honourable
Chairman of Om Vidyalanakar Shikshan Sanstha, Mr Madhukar Narvekar, and Dr Manisha
Nair Principal of Asmita College Of Arts and Commerce for Women, by cutting the
ribbon and lightning of lamp.
Dr H S. Gorge honourable retired Principal of Asmita
College, Mrs Trupti Waghdhare - Superintendent were also visited the
exhibition. Mrs Anupama Narvekar-Secretary of Om Vidyalankar Shikshan Sanstha and all professors of senior college and junior college visited the Exhibition.
All Teachers of Utkarsha Bal Mandir also visited the exhibition.
The Core collection
presented in the exhibition includes reference collection and multi-volume
works related to Indian history. In addition to this, in-depth chronological
Indian history was presented by bifurcating topics as ancient, medieval and
modern Indian history. Books and newspaper cuttings related to the history of the Indian currency was also presented in the exhibition. Book jackets of
reference books were put on library notice boards.
The exhibition was visited
by students of senior college and students of junior college. Total 270
students visited the exhibition.
